LCE 5.0.1 Upgrade Silo Migration

mccormicksm Novice

Should you be able view new events while you are running the silo migration? If not is there anything that can be done to speed up the silo migration?

    Hi Sean,

You'll be able to view events as soon as they are migrated, in real-time.  The only way to speed it up is to add resources to the host.  It's usually bound by the disk for the most part because of all of the reads and writes to migrate the old data format into Elasticsearch.  You could also alleviate other heavy disk usage by shutting down the LCE query service when it is not in use.

    Hope that helps!

Issue appears to be something with my system.  After reverting the snapshot and running the upgrade again it starts looping the same error in the log file that starts with below events. This starts before I attempt silo migration. Has anybody else seen this when upgrading to 5.0?  I have ticket open with support that has been escalated.
